Divan, a council formed by high-ranking state officials during the Ottoman period, is also the name given to literary works composed of poems classified according to specific measures and content. The stencil series, inspired by the marble mirror of the mosque Mimar Sinan built for Mihrimah Sultan, was developed around the qualities of gathering, being together, and bringing ideas into order and measure in a public and cultural context.
