APPLICATION AREA
Travertex is employed as the final coat material on exterior surfaces of various buildings, including rough plaster, exposed concrete, cement sheet, and insulation systems, provided that it is accompanied by a suitable undercoat.
FEATURES
Travertex is an acrylic emulsion-based, decorative exterior wall coating with a 3 mm linear texture. Its elastic structure bridges cracks, while the thick film layer covers surface imperfections. It is resistant to UV rays, alkali, and harsh weather conditions, and allows the surface to breathe thanks to its high water vapor permeability.
Applied as a topcoat on all types of exterior surfaces such as rough plaster, exposed concrete, cement boards, and thermal insulation systems, following proper surface preparation with a suitable primer.
It is water-based.
It does not harm human health or the environment.
-Clean all dirt, oil, blistered paint and dust off the application surface; level the surface defects with San Deco Acrylic Putty Exterior.
-Previously painted surfaces or surfaces that will be painted must be undercoated with San Deco Unprimer. We recommend using the same colour of undercoat as the selected siding color.
-Thoroughly mix Travertex until it reaches a homogeneous consistency without any dilution.
-Apply Travertex in a single coat using a trowel.
-Adjust the application thickness based on the size of the largest texture stones present in the product.
-Create the desired texture on the surface using a plastic spud in circular motions.
-Ensure that the ambient temperature remains within the range of +5°C to +35°C during the application and for 24 hours afterward.
Allow 4-6 hours for touch dry and 24-48 hours for complete dry at 23˚C environment conditions.
