-After removing all kinds of dirt, grease, bloated paint, and dust from the surfaces where Travertino will be applied.

-The surface defects should be corrected with San Deco Acrylic Putty Interior.

-Lastly,should be undercoated with San Deco Decoprimer.

  • The surface to be painted must be undercoated with Decoprimer. Dilute Decoprimer 25-30% of clean water by volume and apply to the surface as a single coat, using a roller.
  • The complete drying time is 24 hours.
  • Once the undercoat is completely dry, apply Travertino to the surface.
  • Apply Travertino in two coats using a steel trowel without diluting.
  • Apply the first coat minimum 1 mm of thickness.
  • At least 6 hours later, apply the second coat. 
  • Apply the second coat using a trowel, as in the first coat.
  • While the product is still wet, use Texturing Float to give desired effect.
  • Once the product is relatively dry, spray some clean water to the product, and smooth the surface using a steel trowel.
  • The complete drying time is 48 hours.
  • After complete drying, more than one PEARLESCENT DECORATIVE FINISH product color can be used upon request.
  • Complete the application process by applying the selected Decorative Finish color using a roller and gently wiping the surface with the help of a damp sponge.
  • The complete drying time is 24 hours.

After applying Travertino, it’s important to allow 2-3 hours for touch dry and 48 hours for complete drying at +23°C environment conditions for the best results.

Depending on the surface’s smoothness, porosity, and the chosen application method, the coverage for a single coat is as follows:

  • 1 liter can cover an area of 1.75 to 2.35 m².
  • 1 kilogram can cover around 1.00 to 1.35 m².
  • You’ll typically use 425-570 milliliters or 750-1000 grams (g) per m².
